Used steel-belted automobile tires, packed solid with earth, become giant 400-pound bricks that create sound-proof, fire and earthquake resistant, fortress-like walls.<br /><br />Pure, uncontaminated rain water is collected from approved potable roofing material into water storage tanks that provide an abundant source of water even in areas with minimal rainfall.<br /><br />We have already have a hole dug, about 4m x 8m, 1.6m deep.<br />The project will be to line the sides with tires, and build a passive solar greenhouse on top of the earth sheltered and insulated tire with rammed earth foundation.<br /><br />Our Greenhouse will demonstrate the unique use of easily readily available tech and materials for building these durable and insulated greenhouses.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/7002507742838504365-3825302077184813493?l=earthembassyworkshops.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>Eden Eco Homeshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07792885604704209123noreply@blogger.com0
